concept notes
when first listeninng to the tuning forks composition supplied by mark, i became aware of the long beautiful trails of sound after each strike of the tuning forks. it was these gradually degrading repetitions that inspired this work, and the desire to create a visual echo, analogous to the aural echo, i was experiencing.
playback notes
the movies are intended to be viewed simultaneously.
to view as a passive experience
refresh the screen. this will allow the videos to re-load and establish their individual start time, and play according to user defined cache/reload capacity.
to view interactively
the viewer can strike (double-click) each movie individually to influence start times, duration and sequence of playback. essentially, using the mouse to strike the 'bars' of video, as though one were playing a visual glockenspiel!
